Diana Sugiuchi

about me

Who are you?

Hi, I’m Diana Sugiuchi, a Registered and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist.

I founded Nourish Family Nutrition, a private practice of Registered Dietitian Nutritionists and psychotherapists, in 2009. Since then, I have counseled thousands of individuals on how to eat well and fuel themselves for sports.

I am a sought-after speaker and presenter. I provide seminars, cooking demonstrations, and wellness programs to hundreds of corporations and non-profits of all sizes.  I have been a featured speaker at many conferences, on all aspects of nutrition, sports nutrition and business development.

I love helping people to make realistic changes that work with their lifestyle to yield big results. I am an avid skier and understand the unique nutrition challenges faced by skiers. I created the Eat Smart Ski More online course to help skiers all over the world take their skiing to the next level.

For over 10 years, I’ve provided hundreds of talks to groups from 2 – 2,000 about all aspects of nutrition, health and sports performance. Interactive cooking demonstrations with nutrition tips to go along are a fun way to inspire your group. I’m a dynamic and engaging speaker and I’m as passionate about skiing as I am about nutrition.

I help skiers and snowboarders with my online course and by speaking to groups.

What is this place?

This is where people who are serious about their skiing – skiing longer days, not missing a day because of altitude sickness, not getting injured – come to learn how to fuel up for the slopes.

It’s not rocket science, but how you eat when you’re skiing all day in the cold, usually at high altitude, can mean the difference between a killer day on the slopes and one you wish you could forget.

Why should I care?

Maybe you like not having the energy to ski first chair to last chair. Maybe you like having to spend the first day(s) of your vacation in bed because you have altitude sickness. Maybe you don’t mind getting injured part way through the season. Maybe you don’t care that you half-ass all the runs after lunch. Maybe your buddies like waiting for you while you stop every few hundred feet.
Skiing is the most amazing thing in the world, why would not want to do a few simple things to drastically improve your experience on the slopes? Duh.

I hate healthy food, I won't eat veggies and I love my apres drinks. What can you do for me?

So much. Nutrition for skiing is different than general healthy eating. The rules are different here. You don’t like veggies? No worries. And I would never deprive anyone of their apres drink of choice. Can I share my recipe for my killer Bloody Mary with you?

Is it true that a Bloody Mary count as a serving of veggies?

Sure thing.

I want to learn your secrets so I can ski more. What do I do next?

Awesome decision. Check out my course here. Or hire me to speak to your group here. Get ready to have the best ski season ever!
